RICHTER Furniertechnik in Melle/Germany was founded in 1984 by Mr. Eberhard Richter. With more than 80 employees the company successfully expanded internationally as a source of innovative ideas and flexible solutions.

Based on 30 years experience in the veneer industry, Mr. Eberhard Richter started in 2004 to build up a new, very exciting international brand:

Stone-Veneer® THE ORIGINAL.

The Stone-Veneer® product line is one of the most exciting innovations of the past years. These light, flexible and ultra-thin sheets of natural stone (slate, quartzite and sandstone) are the first stones a woodworker can process with his normal tools.

The natural stone veneers are split in a thickness of 0,1 to approx. 2,0 mm from big stone plates. Polyester resin and glass fibre on the backside are holding the sheets together. The rough split surface and the changing colours make each sheet a unique piece and an adventure for the senses.

The standard size for all stones is 1220x610mm. But also sizes of 2100×1050, 2400×900, 2800x1250mm are available.

NanoStone®, the thinnest stone in the world….

To rest on one‘s laurels that’s not Eberhard Richter. After 5 years of intensive researches and endless tests he succeeded in refining the process to such a high level that in 2009 he could surprise the international markets with NanoStone®, the thinnest stone in the world.

Despite its super-thin slate thickness of 50 – 100 µ, the surface structure is still intact and is astonishing with its unsurpassed visual look and feel. The fleece backer reinforced from water-jet hardened fabric without any chemical binding agents is the actual thickness of the material. It is suitable for post-forming applications with no problems. It will conform to a radius as small as 2 millimeters.

NanoStone® extends the capabilities of the product line to further horizons.

Analysing the international market trends and developments attentively, Eberhard Richter in 2012 again proved strongly developed entrepreneurial farsightedness. In order to serve the international fast growing demands in a perfect manner, he decided to build up a state of the art production line of Stone-Veneer® in India, world famous for its unique deposits of slate and quarzite.

Together with Mr. Lokesh Arora, Indian professional with more than 30 years profound experience in the stone industry and Mr. Wolfgang Keune, expert in international marketing and sales, RICHTER-India Pvt-Ltd. was founded in New Delhi and Rajastan, the heart of the famous Indian stone industry.

Based on the know-how and experience of these 3 professional partners and equipped with most advanced German technologies, the RICHTER-India production line now is perfectly prepared to meet all future, international demands.

A sophisticated German quality management, from the sourcing of raw materials throughout the totally mechanized production line to the final delivery of the goods, – the esteemed customers all over the world always can rely upon highest international quality standards.

Some thousands of square meters of Stone-Veneer® in all sizes are permanently stocked in our new logistic center. Within a few days almost every quantity of sheets can quickly and efficiently be delivered to any place in the world.

The German Design Council has awarded the prize “Design Plus” to RICHTER Furniertechnik for its innovative product NanoStone® .

During the ZOW show in Verona/Italy (iF International Forum Design in cooperation with the Italian design association ADI) the M TECHNOLOGY AWARD for 2009 was presented to RICHTER Furniertechnik: NanoStone® was recognized with GOLD for special design and innovative performance.
