A restaurant and lounge bar in Pwllheli has won a coveted national design award for designers Brereton Pinnington Design.

The innovative and spectacular design makes great use of our natural stone veneer products.

Venu was created in the location of a former carpet warehouse on the waterfront in the town.

The stunning transformation has won plaudits locally, and has now taken the Best Commercial Interior Design Project prize in the Northern Design Awards.

The design features no fewer than three of our range of twelve colours – Autumn, Copper and Galaxy – have all been incorporated to create stunning visual effects enhanced by the unique feel and texture of real stone.
The design also made the most of the ease of use which our products offer which, together with the inherent lightness of real stone veneer, enabled them to exploit the natural beauty of real stone in situations where one might not think possible.

Venu was chosen from hundreds of entries by a panel of judges including TV presenter and architect George Clarke, Wayne Hemmingway and Linda Barker.

Designers Brereton Pinnington Design have worked closely with owner Victoria Morris in a project that began back in the summer of 2014.

Victoria said: “All who have visited, have witnessed that the design has made it so much more than a component of its parts”
